Margaret Head

Listening to the radio became an early obsession for Margaret (Mags to friends). The days of going to see local outside broadcasts and the original roadshows of a well known BBC station are fondly remembered and probably to blame! Generally whatever Mags is doing, the radio is on, sometimes at the same time as the TV!

Mags started presenting for Winchester Hospital Radio in 1996, presenting programmes 'Artist of the Week' and 'Grin & Tonic' as well as request shows. Roles also included Ward Visiting Co-ordinator and Socials Organiser.

During the day she is kept busy working for a Chartered Civil & Structural Engineers in Eastleigh as a receptionist/typist. Spare time is spent fuelling her passion for music by buying even more CDs than can be stored! She also ran a mobile disco from 2000 -2007 called Starsoundz. She doesn't have any particular favourite artists, although she fell in love with Donny Osmond when aged three!!

Margaret was born in Southampton during the 70's in August making her a Leo. Loves include Music (of course!), Chinese food, Phillip Schofield, books, summer, warm sunny sandy beaches and ice cold beer or cocktails. Catch Mags every Sunday evening between 5pm - 8pm. playing music from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and present - guaranteed to get your feet tapping. Features on the programme include 'guess the anagram' plus 'silly signs & stupid questions'.
